Internal Security Act (ISA)
And so it began. The mass crackdown by the govn. Resorting to the lowest and cheapest tactic possible. The notorious ISA had been triggered.
ISA is a law which allows a person to be detained in prison for up to 2 years, without having any trials or legal representation. It was enacted back in the communist era where the govn would use this law to battle the communists. And yet, decades later, we still have the ISA. It’s now an ever-powerful political weapon. Used to silence critics and “pengecoh” that are apparently disrupting national security.
HINDRAF leaders. HINDRAF is a society or sort that aims to champion the rights and welfare of Indians in
Bottom line
Firstly, there’s nothing wrong with peaceful rallies. It’s a way to show solidarity and express our feelings on issues. How did Ghandiji fought for the rights of the Indian people? How did Martin Luther King Jr. spoke up against racial discrimination? How did millions of people show their discontent on the
Secondly, the usage of ISA shall not be rationalized in any way. No matter how guilty is a person, he/she is entitled to the fundamental right of having his/herself heard in court. He/she should have the right to present her side of the story and it is up to the court to decide on justice. Simple concept. Imagine yourself in school. You’re an angelic student who have never ever broken a single rule. And one day, your principal comes up to you and begin whacking the living crap out of you. He then later tells you that you we’re smoking. You have no chance to plea your innocence. No chance to be justified. That’s ISA. No questions asked. Straight to jail.
Our Role?
Be aware of it. Be aware and know how cruel, biased and unfair the ISA is. That’s the first step to making a change – awareness.
Secondly, believe in political will. Start being aware that our freaking life is somewhat affected and governed by those who are walking the corridors of power. Like it or not, everyone is part of politics. Yeap, we’re all together in this pile of bull crap.
Stand up and take personal ownership. Do what you have to do. No matter how big or how small, in our own capacities, we can make a difference. The “HOW”s can only be answered by yourself.

Apocalypse
Here’s a weird though : How do you think the world will end in the future?
Seriously, this may sound weird but don’t think the world will last forever. Something bound to happen and it will wipe out all of humanity.
The huge-meteorite-blasting-earth-into-a-million-pieces theory sounds good. But my guess is an epidemic. A disease/virus so strong and contagious that will kill everyone before we even have the chance to response. Sounds like resident evil. But imagine, some disease similar to bird flu but 10 times more dangerous and deadly. And it can spread just by breathing in the air around us..
